Production Blog - Initially Filming

Hey everyone, welcome back to another one of my blogs! In this one, me and my group members met back up and continued filming. Firstly, I got picked up by Ben, a group member with a license. After he picked me up, he went to get the rest of our group members. We all had decided prior for the location of our filming, so we drove there. It took about 25 minutes to make it to our location. I had brought inside the bag of props and materials we needed for preparing the set, while Ben and Nicolas were in charge of getting the filming and accessories ready. This strategy of me and Tom being the ones to set up the area and Ben and Nicolas setting up the camera work sped up our process. I'm glad my group got this done easily and fast, we managed to be prepared in under an hour of being there. We then finished filming in our location after a hour of us filming. It took a while for us to get the right shots however. After a couple attempts we got it right though. For me the script was the hardest to master. Trying to stay serious or make it look real was also very hard.

 As the editing guru of our group, it was up to me to piece together all the footage we captured into a cinematic masterpiece. Considering my experience as the editor for our previous project, everyone agreed that I was the right person for the job. My Introduction, Again!

My name is Blake Dashnaw, and I live in an apartment with my father and dog. My father initially introduced me to technology pretty early; when I was eight I got my first I pad. Soon enough the time came to where my father taught me how to build computers and one of my own, and that allowed me to perceive the depths of the video filming and editing world. I'm very grateful for the opportunities I was given at an early age, as they allowed me to learn and understand what I know today. I play video games often with friends and also love watching movies. I also have a dog, named Dash. He's very smart and usually behaves really well. I've taken care of him since the age of 11, and have been his primary caretaker ever since. He is also an Australian Shepherd, which means he always needs a lot of exercise. Production Blog: Compiling Our Scenes

Today marked the climax of our editing odyssey! Before putting the finishing touches on our project, we decided to capture some extra scenes just as a safety net. It was a thrilling opportunity to venture beyond our usual filming spots and add some fresh elements to our story. Opting for my mom's spacious van for the car scenes turned out to be a brilliant move. Its generous space accommodated all our equipment and crew with ease. Filming inside the van was an absolute riot! We couldn't resist goofing around and having a blast while getting those last shots. After wrapping up our filming session, we treated ourselves to a leisurely lunch break to refuel before diving back into our editing tasks. The afternoon flew by as we polished off the remaining shots in just an hour. With some daylight left, we indulged in some relaxing fishing, taking advantage of the serene waters as the perfect backdrop for additional footage.
