My Introduction, Again!

My name is Blake Dashnaw, and I live in an apartment with my father and dog. My father initially introduced me to technology pretty early; when I was eight I got my first I pad. Soon enough the time came to where my father taught me how to build computers and one of my own, and that allowed me to perceive the depths of the video filming and editing world. I'm very grateful for the opportunities I was given at an early age, as they allowed me to learn and understand what I know today. I play video games often with friends and also love watching movies. I also have a dog, named Dash. He's very smart and usually behaves really well. I've taken care of him since the age of 11, and have been his primary caretaker ever since. He is also an Australian Shepherd, which means he always needs a lot of exercise. Taking care of him has been a very fundamental responsibility for me, as it allows me to grasp the aspect of having to take care of something every single day. I appreciate both my dog and father very much because they provide me happiness every day. 

 This is the second time ill be introducing myself, and I've learned a lot and acquired a vast amount of knowledge since then. I'm still fifteen, and a high school student; I enjoy video editing and primarily use After Effects as my primary editing software. I do commissions for people online, and have learned more about filmmaking as a whole. I really like the wide amount of elements that put together scenes in movies and shows, and I like breaking them down to understand how they're made. I do think the profession I'm most  interested in is one that requires video editing or filmmaking. This class will definitely help me strengthen my pallet of resources and techniques, as well as allow me to understand how to make professional films and break others down. Seeing my skills all composite together into a composition or timeline is  something I greatly enjoy; It allows me to see how far I've come in my learning process. Over the four years I've been learning and video editing there has been many things I have advanced at or learned, and I believe that this class will allow me to execute and introduce new ideas on my horizon. I'm very excited to see where I'm placed at the end of this school year.
