Music Video Storyboard


SCENE 1: Gabriel wakes up to the start of the song "All Star" playing on his alarm clock, the sunlight leaks through the blinds of the window.

SCENE 2: Gabriel gets up, gets ready and puts on his backpack with a Basketball poster on his room wall.

SCENE 3: After he's ready, he opens his front door and sees the bright sun and shining trees along the pavement of the roads.

SCENE 4: He then walks down the street, with his backpack on and basketball underneath his arm, still listening to the song on his headphones.

SCENE 5: Gabriel makes it to the court, and is still playing the music. He then starts walking out to the court while dribbling the ball.

SCENE 6: He takes his first shot on the court, each basket he makes resonating the joy he's having while listening to the song and playing.

 As the editing guru of our group, it was up to me to piece together all the footage we captured into a cinematic masterpiece. Considering my experience as the editor for our previous project, everyone agreed that I was the right person for the job. Plus, I've picked up a bunch of new editing tricks along the way, so I was pumped to put them to good use. Since I have the beefiest computer in the group, we initially planned to gather at my place for the editing session. But then we had a lightbulb moment – why not have a virtual meeting instead? So, we huddled up over a phone call, which gave us all more flexibility. Our first task was settling on the editing software. My name is Blake Dashnaw, and I live in an apartment with my father and dog. My father initially introduced me to technology pretty early; when I was eight I got my first I pad. Soon enough the time came to where my father taught me how to build computers and one of my own, and that allowed me to perceive the depths of the video filming and editing world. I'm very grateful for the opportunities I was given at an early age, as they allowed me to learn and understand what I know today. I play video games often with friends and also love watching movies. I also have a dog, named Dash. He's very smart and usually behaves really well. I've taken care of him since the age of 11, and have been his primary caretaker ever since. He is also an Australian Shepherd, which means he always needs a lot of exercise. Production Blog: Compiling Our Scenes

Today marked the climax of our editing odyssey! Before putting the finishing touches on our project, we decided to capture some extra scenes just as a safety net. It was a thrilling opportunity to venture beyond our usual filming spots and add some fresh elements to our story. Opting for my mom's spacious van for the car scenes turned out to be a brilliant move. Its generous space accommodated all our equipment and crew with ease. Filming inside the van was an absolute riot! We couldn't resist goofing around and having a blast while getting those last shots. After wrapping up our filming session, we treated ourselves to a leisurely lunch break to refuel before diving back into our editing tasks. The afternoon flew by as we polished off the remaining shots in just an hour. With some daylight left, we indulged in some relaxing fishing, taking advantage of the serene waters as the perfect backdrop for additional footage.
