Production Blog: Continuing Filming

Hey everyone, its me Blake again, today's blog post focuses on our recent filming experience, particularly the night scenes we worked on. We decided that the optimal time for filming these scenes was around 7 PM, aiming to capture the darkness and ambiance of the night. One of the main challenges we encountered was locating the perfect filming location. It was crucial for the street to be deserted to avoid any disturbances from passing traffic, which could have compromised the quality of our footage and audio. To scout for the ideal spot, we embarked on a drive around the area, spending nearly 45 minutes in search of the right place. Eventually, our perseverance paid off, and we stumbled upon a street that met all our criteria. It was dimly lit, with minimal traffic passing through. After securing the location, we wasted no time in setting up our equipment and rehearsing our scenes. Our group meticulously went over the script once more, fine-tuning the angles and movements required for each shot. Once everyone was in position and prepared, we commenced filming. Despite the chill in the air and the gusts of wind, we found the outdoor scenes to be incredibly enjoyable to shoot. However, the cold weather did pose a challenge, as we had to endure being outside for an extended period. In total, filming the night scenes took approximately two hours, during which we remained focused and dedicated to achieving the desired outcome. Despite the minor discomforts, today's filming session was a resounding success. I'm eagerly looking forward to our next filming endeavor and the creative challenges it will bring.
