Production Blog: establishing a plan
Hey, its me Blake again, and this is my first production blog for my music video. In this blog I will be explaining my planning process for my filming in the following weeks. Not just the planning, but also what I'm going to be using in my filming and editing processes in the future. To start with, the first scene of my music video will be in my home, and it will be me waking up and getting ready for the gym. For this, I need to prepare the desired angles I want in the scene and the environment I'm trying to go for. I want the lighting to be decently bright to fit the song choice. I also want the overall scenery to be neat and clean, so I will have to make sure everything around me and that can be viewed in the film is nicely put. After the initial scene, I will be arriving to the gym. In this scene, I want to replicate the effect of me having to walk to the gym, so I'll have a perspective of me walking on the street to it. In reality, the gym that I will be using is the one in my own apartment building. This works for the effect and mood I'm trying to convey to the viewer nicely. After arriving to the gym, I want to be in appropriate attire for the gym environment. I'll be wearing a tank top and gym shorts in the media. I also want the time of day for these first scenes to be in the morning, as the sun is still newly coming up to represent the waking up aspect I'm trying to portray. After the full working out scene I create, I will show me leaving the gym and arriving back at my home. in this scene i want the lighting to be more of that mid-day brightness. This is because I want the subject of time passing to be easily understandable to the viewer. As I arrive home, I'll show me taking a shower to finish off my music video. Overall with all the views I've accumulated on this project I believe it will have a pristine look and fitting for my imagination. I'm excited to see where this project lays out. I'll keep you updated, thanks for listening!
