Production Blog - establishing an idea
In this assignment, i will be going over how i edited, compiled, tweaked the music, and reviewed my producing of my commercial.
Editing the visuals:
initially, I had to find a way to put all of the pieces together, so I used a video editor known as Premiere Pro. This is the phase where I turn the pictures into more and transform them into the actual commercial. To start with, I placed all the photos into my project and selected them and assigned them in order of chronology. With the photos, I can adjust the colors, contrast, and lighting to represent the mood the song brings in. Cropping the photos and framing them also adds another aspect to the feeling they may give off when watching the commercial. As well for the videos, I
have to keep my eye out for specific tweaks and adjustments i should make. I can trim the videos, make jump cuts, and rearrange them to make it flow nicely. with everything together it adds a nice feel and incorporates all the pieces together nicely.
Editing the music:

Since I picked the song "Hell and Back" by Bakar, selecting where I adjust the music to and how I fade it in or out is crucial. I had to look back multiple times to see where I thought was the best time for them to be placed and I had to make sure the mood of the pictures themselves fit the audio. The colors, hue, and lighting can all be dependencies for the audio to match with. The overall goal is to achieve a nice seamless element that is nicely placed with the photos.
Reviewing:
This stage is a big part of how my commercial actually ends up. I have to make sure everything is exactly how I want it, with no errors and a smooth flow. I have to make sure that the color grading is fit to the music, in a rich and vibrant way. Since the video needs to be around a minute long, I decided to put the photos up for seconds on end and cut the videos to a nice length to fit into the timeframe. The overall creative process of this project is something I actually really enjoy doing. Editing the photos and music together is something that fits into my previous skillset. If I keep my pace on this assignment, it should come out nicely and exactly to my liking. This is my first production blog on my commercial, and I'm excited to see where I land working on my next one!
