Music Video - Finishing touches and feedback

Hey, its me Blake again back with another blog! In this blog I'll be explaining what I did for the finalizations of editing and feedback I received before submitting my project. To start off with, I'd like to thank my partner on this project, Gabriel, as he did help with the direction and ideas that were implemented throughout the video. There were many things I noticed after giving the video about 5 re-watches. Not all being good, for instance there were some black frames, off center clips, and even quality inconsistencies. I'm going to be going though how I fixed all of those as well. For the black frames I had noticed, they weren't a very big issue. I just had to select the remainder past where the frame was, and scooch everything past that forward to make it seamless. I'm thankful I decided to not go hands-free and just wing it without re-watching a couple times, and am glad I caught on to this fine detail. Another detail I picked up on was the centering on some of the clips. There were some black edges and lines on the clips, that made it seem unprofessional and not thought out. So I decided to go back into After Effects, my editing software and scale up the clips I noticed to be off center. It did work, however also caused another problem. With scaling up certain videos to fit the frames, it caused the quality to be disrupted. This meaning that the quality of some clips would seem higher than others, and this was a very big no from me as an editor. I tried then scaling everything else down to compress the actual video and that seemed to work just perfectly. I just had to downscale the quality of the video to all fit the clips that weren't initially fit. Now with all the issues out of the way, It took very long for the video to even export. So every issue I had took multiple renders and hours on end. Then finally, I asked my mother and of course Gabriel to watch and give me their first impressions on what they thought. They both thought it was nice and a good fit for our vision. I'm extremely happy with the outcome of this project, and am excited to use the skills I learned for future things!
